Dance, Dance Butterflies

We burned BBQ fumes at Reiman Gardens on the Iowa State campus.  All that brisket and berries had us jacked up on the garden's dance dance revolution brass chimes:

    1. 800 butterflies in the dome, the Morpho's from South America were our favorite. Metallic blue wings with a span of 6 inches, it's the 4th photo from the bottom. Wings are ringed brown when closed, blue on the inside.

    1. I was perplexed by the trees covered in hand-knitted graffiti. Also thought you were joking about yarn bombing day until I looked it up. Now it all makes sense.

I enjoy your blog and felt drawn to comment today, as an Iowa Stater! (go Cyclones)

    1. I considered wearing an Iowa Hawks shirt to the gardens, glad I didn't as the 75-year-old volunteers manning the front desk would've gotten salty over it.
